Chievo 0 – 1 Atalanta
Maxi Moralez 16

Inter 0 – 3 Roma
Totti 18, 40 pen, 44 Florenzi
Sent off: Balzaretti 79 (Roma, second yellow)

Woohoo! Roma is fantastic this season. Totti who just turned 37 was shining like new in this game. He opened the scoring with an excellent pinpoint shot from some 20 meters, then smashed in a penalty earned by Gervinho. Florenzi aded the third goal with an excellent diagonal shot after a textbook fast counter attack driven by Strootman. Seven wins out of seven for Roma, an amazing start of the season. Is Rudi Garcia a magician?

Oct 6, 2013

Parma 3 – 1 Sassuolo
Palladino 32, Rosi 70, Cassano 76 – Berardi 45+6 pen
Sent off: Mirante 45+3 (Parma’s goalkeeper, double punishment), Magnanelli 88 (Sassuolo, second yellow for handball)

Bologna 1 – 4 Verona
Diamanti 52 pen – Cacciatore 22, Iturbe 29, Toni 56, Jorginho 90+3

Verona’s Iturbe scored a brilliant free kick in the previos round; in this game he aded his second goal of the season with a great individual effort, then set up a goal for veteran striker Luca Toni in the second half. I saw Iturbe playing for Argentina two years ago at the U-20 World cup, he looked a very promising young player. Lamela was the biggest star on that team, by the way. It has taken a while for Iturbe to start playing regularly at a major league level as he wasn’t getting any playing time at Porto who still own his transfer rights; I expected that to happen sooner.

With 20 goals conceded in only 7 games, Bologna has big problems in defense. Even Diamanti won’t be able to save them if they continue like this.

Catania 1 – 1 Genoa
Barrientos 59 – Legrottaglie 87 og

Napoli 4 – 0 Livorno
Pandev 4, Inler 26, Callejon 54, Hamsik 83

Sampdoria 2 – 2 Torino
Sansone 41, Eder 90+3 pen – Immobile 66, Cerci 76 pen

There was a weird refereeing decision at the end of the first half, which prevented the hosts from going 2-0 up: Sampdoria had a free kick near Torino area in stoppage time, Padelli saved the free kick, Pozzi scored on the rebound but the ref had whistled the end of the first half already!

Udinese 2 – 0 Cagliari
Danilo 33, Di Natale 53

Juventus 3 – 2 Milan
Pirlo 15, Giovinco 69, Chiellini 75 – Muntari 1, 90
Sent off: Mexes 74 (Milan, second yellow for protesting the first)

Lazio 0 – 0 Fiorentina

For the third time in this calendar year I watch David Pizarro dispossesed in own half. I find it strange that this guy still plays professional football.
