Serie A Rounds 10 and 11

Round 10

Oct 29, 2013

Atalanta 1 – 1 Inter
Denis 25 – Alvarez 16

Oct 30, 2013

Cagliari 0 – 3 Bologna
Garics 26, Kone 58, Pazienza 61
Sent off: Murru 52 (Cagliari, second yellow)

Without their best player Diamanti who was suspended Bologna apparently felt liberated and crushed Cagliari at their home ground.

Fiorentina 1 – 2 Napoli
Giuseppe Rossi 28 pen – Callejon 12, Mertens 36
Sent off: Maggio 80 (Napoli, second yellow), Cuadrado 90+1 (Fiorentina, second yellow)

Fiorentina’s Cuadrado got two yellow cards for diving, the second one was a bad mistake by the ref because the Colombian was clearly fouled in the box.

Genoa 1 – 0 Parma
Gilardino 57

Verona 2 – 0 Sampdoria
Gomez Taleb 51, Toni 78

Juventus 4 – 0 Catania
Vidal 26, Pirlo 34, Tevez 65, Bonucci 71
Sent off: Guarente 84 (Catania, second yellow)

Livorno 3 – 3 Torino
Paulinho 25, Greco 34, Emerson 63 – Immobile 4, Glik 8, Cerci 87 pen

Milan 1 – 1 Lazio
Kaka 54 – Ciani 72

First Kaka goal in Milan shirt after his return from Real Madrid. Allegri is still the Milan coach, after this result.

Sassuolo 1 – 2 Udinese
Zaza 80 – Di Natale 18, Muriel 56
Sent off: Zaza 80 (Sassuolo, straight red card for a murderous foul on Gabriel Silva)

Oct 31, 2013
Roma 1 – 0 Chievo
Borriello 67

Chievo put 10 men behind the ball trying to contain Roma attacks but midway through the second half Florenzi crossed for Borriello to head into the far corner. Roma has registered ten wins out of ten games at the start of the season, which is an all-time record in Italy.

Round 11

Nov 2, 2013

Parma 0 – 1 Juventus
Pogba 77

Milan 0 – 2 Fiorentina
Juan Vargas 27, Borja Valero 73

I know I’m repeating myself, but Allegri is still the Milan coach!

Napoli 2 – 1 Catania
Callejon 15, Hamsik 20 – Castro 25

Nov 3, 2013

Livorno 1 – 0 Atalanta
Paulinho 11
Sent off: Carmona 35 (Atalanta, second yellow)

Brazilian Paulinho gave Livorno the win with a great angled shot. Away from home, Atalanta are terrible.

Verona 2 – 1 Cagliari
Toni 8, Jankovic 57 – Conti 90+1

Verona won at home for the sixth time in a row, excellent start of the season for them after the return to the top flight.

Lazio 0 – 2 Genoa
Kucka 69, Gilardino 72 pen

Sampdoria 3 – 4 Sassuolo
Pozzi 19, Eder 65, De Silvestri 81 – Berardi 49, 52 pen, 89 pen, Floro Flores 63
Sent off: Andrea Costa 51 (Sampdoria, second yellow)

Udinese 0 – 3 Inter
Palacio 25, Ranocchia 29, Alvarez 90+3

Torino 1 – 1 Roma
Cerci 63 – Strootman 28

Strootman played a one-two with Pjanic on the left side of the Torino area before placing the ball past Padelli. Meggiorini clearly pushed Belfodil before centering for Cerci who beat De Sanctis from close range, only the second goal conceded by the Roma keeper this season.

Torino ended Roma’s 10-game winning streak. To help that happen, the referee denied Roma two clear penalties and allowed the Torino goal to stand despite an obvious foul in attack by the hosts.
